Introducing
Lokaal is a clothing and apparel company based in Guelph, Ontario, focused on fashionable, comfortable, and affordable clothing for your everyday needs! I worked with Lokaal to create a logo mark that would harmonize perfectly with their existing wordmark.
Goals
The project's goal was to design a logo that seamlessly complemented an established wordmark, capturing its essence and evoking a consistent brand identity.

Completed in 3 weeks, from discussions and ideation to creation, revisions, and final presentation, ensuring a swift yet thorough project timeline.
Challenges
The project presented unique hurdles, including the challenge of seamlessly merging the logo with an existing wordmark and crafting a memorable icon that resonated with the clients.
Process
Discussion and Ideation:
This logo project involved discussions around harmonizing a distinctive logo mark with the existing word mark. Through these discussions, I were able to finalize a vision to create a logo mark that was friendly, unique, and embodied the Lokaal spirit.
Sketches and Digital Work:
Moving on to the sketching and digital design phases, I developed three unique directions: a compass engrained into a house, an owl integrated into a waypoint, and the client’s new dog traced into a vector.
Mock-ups and Presentation:
In the final stage, I created realistic mock-ups to visualize the new logo mark next to the existing word mark. We crafted mock-ups that the clients would realistically be using in their day-to-day business, for example, apparel, bags, and signage.
